Guidelines on Writing Articles and Creating Teasers

Guideline #1: Positive Emotions Trigger

The images, graphs and the information should trigger only positive emotions in the minds of the readers. The audience should find this information surprising, interesting, amazing, useful or hilarious. The information should be appropriate to readers of various audiences.

Guideline #2: No Sexually Suggestive Images

The use of images depicting people in bikini, lingerie and other revealing outfits (including celebrities) is strictly forbidden. This rule applies to both males and females (it also applies to all the images regarding fitness and sport). The content (images, poses, gestures, facial expressions) should not be sexually suggestive in any form.

Guideline #3: No Violence, Aggression, Blood

It is forbidden to use the images depicting acts of violence, aggression, blood, tears, etc. The content should not in any form or way be related to negative emotions. No creepy/disgusting images or content are allowed.

Guideline #4: List of Forbidden Article Themes

It is forbidden to use in the articles, posts, teasers following topics: Hitler, gambling, religion, terrorism, ugly images altered in Photoshop, especially images of human bodies and faces, cats, alcohol, drugs, prostitution. The use of images with swastika, skulls and other occult/cult items is forbidden.

Guideline #5: Forbidden Joke Topics

It is forbidden to joke about politicians and on parenting fails. The topics of Nazism, fascism, communism, the KKK (Ku Klux Klan) and others related to political intolerance. Avoid using kids pictures for humor topics.

Guideline #6: No Watermarks / No White Background / No Low-Quality Images

It is not allowed to use the images that already have imprinted watermarks, signatures or other irrelevant contents (circles, drawn to attract readers’ attention to a certain part of the image), and images with white background, frames or low-resolution/low-quality images.

Guideline #7: Either Face or Entire Body

The use of photos that depict only certain body parts and do not show the person’s face is forbidden.

Guideline #8: Offensive for Patriotic / Religious / Ethnic Groups

The use of any contents, which can hurt patriotic/religious feelings of various national, ages, ethnic and religious groups is strictly forbidden. The contents should be appropriate to the representatives of all the groups mentioned above.

Guideline #9: No Judgment

When writing an article, post, teaser there should not be any judgment about the people that are being referred to in the article or teaser. Do not judge the people you are showing to the public. In the meantime, witty and smart remarks regarding the situations some people have gotten into are welcome.

Guideline #10: Banned Words

It is not allowed to use curse/taboo words and any words/combinations of words and contractions related to forbidden topics (sex, naked, person`s body etc.) and/or those triggering negative emotions (death, kill, suffering etc.).

Guideline #11: No Free Software Downloads

We do not post articles/teasers related to free software download and online music/video (Torrents, RapidShare, Mediafire etc.).

Guideline #12: No Personalization

Don’t personalize content, i.e. don’t use such words as I, me, my, mine.

ALL articles published on news.nster.com should be written in accordance with all the guidelines specified.

ALL teasers (title, description and photo) created by Nster Company and self-creative partners should be in line with all the guidelines specified.

NO teasers can be created for content which contradicts with one or more guidelines specified.

VIP teasers can only be linked with web pages filled with content, including widgets and banners installed, which fully meets all the requirements described. No VIP teasers are allowed within FUN category.
